Promoting Research on Transcultural Communication
and Intercultural Comparisons

The 3rd European Communication Conference 2010 aims to provide opportunities for presenting a wide range of innovative communication research, with special emphasis on the specific communicative space of Europe. Papers on transcultural communication and comparative research will be particularly encouraged. ECREA 2010 further aims to promote the building and strengthening of European research networks and co–operative projects.

Creating Links to the Central and Eastern European Research Communities

The conference sets out to make a substantial contribution to the inclusion of researchers from Central and Eastern European countries. In the last years many European events have suffered from low participation from these countries.

Encouraging European Research Networks and Projects

The conference will include events that feature invited experts from the European Commission and other funding institutions as well as communication researchers who have been involved in European research networks. Aim is to evaluate the current state and the future perspectives of the "European Research Area" in the field of communication research.
